Fairtrade Coconuts The beautiful organic coconut oil used in our soap, is fairly traded with Indonesian island communities throughout the Pacific Ocean. All the oil comes from family farms only, where individual families work together to collect and process small amounts of coconuts on a daily basis. An integral part of tropical island life, coconut production forms a pivotal role in the lives of coastal communities, of which many are now endangered. By purchasing this fair trade coconut oil we support not only the livelihoods of island communities, but their language and cultures, their forests and reefs.

Coconut Oil
Coconut oil can be used as an excellent all over body moisturiser. It helps to reduce chronic skin dryness and aids the removal of the outer layer of dead skin cells, making the skin smoother. The small molecular structure of coconut oil allows for easy absorption through the skin, giving it a soft, smooth texture. While doing this the coconut oil strengthens and maintains skin health.
Palm Free Soap
Most soaps are made with palm oil because it is cheap and readily available. According to the World Wildlife Fund, an area the equivalent size of 300 football fields of rainforest is cleared each hour to make way for palm oil production. The demand for cheap palm oil results in vast deforestation – trees are cleared to make way for mass palm tree plantations to fulfil the requirements of the palm oil industry. Many baby Orangutans are left orphaned and suffer burns and skin problems as a result of the forest fires (the fires are started to destroy forest to make way for palm plantations). Choosing palm free soaps is a forest and orangutan friendly alternative.

Great for shaving and moisturising. I really love this soap. It cleans well and the addition of shea butter helps to moisturise my very dry skin. It’s excellent to use for shaving your legs, too because it helps the razor glide easily across the skin.

I have loved and ordered these soaps for 5-6 years now and wouldn’t use anything else. I wish they would bring back the honey one though, that was my absolute favourite.
