      Please read the following carefully as it contains the terms and conditions that you agree to be bound by if you wish to use the Akamuti website or purchase from Akamuti. The terms and conditions apply to your use of the Akamuti website, online shop and ordering services. These conditions and the terms of use apply between you (where ‘you’ refers to the person using the website or whose order is accepted by Akamuti) and Akamuti (where ‘Akamuti’, ‘we’ and ‘us’ refers to Akamuti Limited)Akamuti Limited’s registered office is Maes y Bryn, Llansawel, Llandeilo, SA19 7PG, United Kingdom.

      Access to our website is permitted and we reserve the right to withdraw or amend the services we provide on our website at any time. We will not be liable, if for any reason our website or the material provided by it, becomes unavailable. You as the customer, take responsibility for the necessary requirements to have access to our website and users must be aware of these terms when using our website via your internet service.
    3. Intellectual property rights
      We own the intellectual property rights for our website and the information published throughout. All of the material on our website and packaging, including the text, editorial, illustrations, designs, logos, blog posts and any images throughout are protected by copyright laws.

  2. Buying

    You may purchase products manufactured by Akamuti directly from our website, by post or by telephone. Our delivery service extends to England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Channel Islands, Norway, the EU, China, Hong Kong and Australasia and excludes all countries outside of those mentioned. You may purchase these products produced by Akamuti for personal use only, unless otherwise agreed. We reserve the right to refuse any order on any grounds. All orders are dispatched on receipt of payment, unless otherwise arranged.

  3. Selling

    If you are a retailer, you may sell Akamuti products to a third party in accordance with these stated terms and conditions, adhering to Akamuti pricing recommendations and Akamuti copyright regulations. Retailers may not sell any Akamuti product to another retailer for re-sale or act as a distributor without permission from Akamuti. (in which circumstance Akamuti will provide written terms and conditions applicable to such an agreement).

    Akamuti reserves the right to remove any retailer from its customer base if it is decided that within all reasonable doubt that Akamuti products are being sold in a manner deemed inappropriate or offensive or which may be causing a “conflict of interest” between customers or retailers. All decisions are made at the discretion of Akamuti.

  4. Product Prices

    Full details of all the products available along with their prices are set out on the Akamuti website. All of our prices are shown in Pound Sterling and are inclusive of VAT charged at the standard rate of 20%. The prices exclude postage and packing charges where they are applicable.

    We reserve the right to change our prices at any time.

  5. Product Details

    Akamuti takes all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products are correct at the time when the relevant information is placed on the website; online shop or in any printed material. Some Akamuti products may not be available and Akamuti reserves the right to remove or add items to and from the website at any time. Although every effort is made to keep our information as up to date as possible, the information appearing at a particular time may not always reflect the exact position at the moment you place an order.
    Whilst every effort is made to accurately describe Akamuti products, there may be slight variation in product colour, packaging design or specification at any time. We endeavour to make sure pricing is correct at time of printing, but reserve the right to change prices due to error or supplier changes.

    Reference to any product or service by Akamuti does not constitute an offer to sell or supply that product or service and does not mean that the product or service is available in all countries. The information provided by Akamuti has been included in good faith for general informational purposes only. It should not be relied upon for any specific purpose and no representation or warranty is given as to its accuracy or completeness.

  6. Placing an order

    Orders may be placed online on our website www.akamuti.co.uk or over the phone on 01558 685360. Akamuti accepts payments by credit or debit cards as well as bank transfers where applicable. We regret that we no longer accept payments by cheque due to excessive processing bank charges. All card payments are made securely through our Sagepay Merchant Service Provider or PayPal where all payments are dealt with through a secure server.

    All Akamuti products remain the property of Akamuti until payment has been received in full.

    If your credit or debit card does not give an authorisation and is declined, your order will also be declined and not be processed any further. Akamuti will confirm your product order by email once payment has been received. Akamuti will email you again to confirm that the products you have ordered are being shipped to you. Once placed, your order becomes a contract of sale for the products you have ordered and is concluded between you and Akamuti only upon those products being shipped to you.

    Akamuti may refuse or be unable to process your order if the product you ordered is discontinued or no longer available; your credit card does not give authorisation for the payment of the purchase price or if you do not meet any of the criteria required to allow an order to be made.

  7. Changing or cancelling an order

    If you wish to change an order simply contact Akamuti on 01558 685360 or email: shop@akamuti.co.uk including your order number and the date the order was placed. You may cancel an order within 14 days of receipt of your order in accordance with your consumer rights under The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. We may not be able to stop your order being shipped out to you; however your right to cancel an order and return the products remains unaffected. The costs of delivery and returns incurred will be the customer’s responsibility.

  8. Returns

    If you would like to return a product or an order to us, please do so within 14 days of receipt of the goods. Under the The Customer Contracts Regulations you have 14 days to return the items to us. Please contact Akamuti first by telephone 01558 685360 or email shop@akamuti.co.uk to inform us of the return and provide us with details of the items you wish to return.

    We will provide you with a returns number or form to fill in to accompany your returns. For reasons of hygiene and safety, we are unable to exchange items unless they return to us unopened. Please pack your parcel with care; if you fail to pack the parcel and your goods arrive damaged (as a result of the return trip) we may not be able to process your return.

    Please send the returns to us at: Akamuti Limited, Maes y Bryn, Llansawel, Llandeilo, SA19 7PG. We recommend you obtain proof of posting to ensure both traceability and insurance. You should also obtain a receipt for the parcel when you send it.

    If you wish to return an order because you no longer wish to receive the goods, or no longer want a product, the return costs will be the customer’s responsibility. If a product has been partially used, you may not receive a full refund. A refund will be provided on receipt of the return.

  9. Returning an incorrect or faulty product

    To return a damaged, incorrect or faulty product you have 28 days from receiving the product under The Customer Contracts Regulations 2013 to do so.

    Please contact Akamuti first by telephone 01558 685360 or email shop@akamuti.co.uk to inform us of the problem and providing us with the details of the items you wish to return. We will provide you with a returns number or form to fill in to accompany your returns.

    Please pack your parcel with care; if you fail to pack the parcel carefully and your goods arrive damaged (as a result of the return trip) we may not be able to process your return.

    We will refund the postage costs incurred to the value of standard second class rate (under 1kg) or first class rate (over 1kg) for faulty or incorrect goods. Our returns address is: Akamuti Limited, Maes y Bryn, Llansawel, Llandeilo, SA19 7PG.

    We recommend you obtain a free proof of posting via the post office to ensure both traceability and insurance. You should also obtain a receipt for the parcel when you send it.

  10. Refunds

    We will are happy to refund any returned items in a re-saleable condition or alternatively exchange the product. You will be refunded at the price you paid for the product at the time of your order within 7 days of receipt of a return. You will be refunded the product price or you can exchange the product once the return is received by Akamuti. If the product you wish to exchange has a lower price than the originally ordered product, we will refund you the difference; if it has a higher price, we will require you to settle the difference.

    If you wish to return an item you do not like, ordered by mistake or you have changed your mind about – Akamuti will only refund the cost of your order and not the returns charge. These products must be packed up carefully and be in a fully saleable condition. Once a product has been opened or where the product has been extensively used, we reserve the right not to refund in full. A refund of the delivery charge will only be given where the products returned are incorrect or were delivered in a damaged or faulty state. In this event, we will reimburse your postage costs at the standard second class rate (under 1kg) or first class rate (over 1kg). Akamuti also reserves the right to recommend a returns method to save costs.

  11. Delivery Damage

    In the event an Akamuti order is received in a damaged condition due to transit, the consignment should be refused at point of delivery so that the goods be returned to Akamuti. If goods are only seen to be damaged once the package has been opened – please contact us immediately and we will arrange re-delivery of a new order. A re-delivery can take place once Akamuti receive evidence of the damage, for example a photograph.

  12. Delivery Times

    UK Orders placed with Akamuti are processed to reach you as quickly as possible, usually within 1-3 days. Most orders are dispatched within 24 hours of receipt (except over the weekends, bank holidays and other holidays where orders will be processed on resuming opening). If your order has not arrived within 7 days, please contact us.

    EU If you live outside of the UK, please allow 3-7 days for delivery. If your order has not arrived within 7 days, please contact us.

    Akamuti orders are dispatched using Royal Mail. They may require a signature on delivery. We will inform you of estimated delivery dates and of any delays that may be incurred. We accept no responsibility for loss resulting from Royal Mail delivery delays or national working or postal strikes.

  13. Customs and Import Duty

    If you live outside of the UK it is your responsibility to check and assess if there are any extra charges, taxes or import duties liable on delivery. Akamuti will not be liable for any of these extra charges or charges in the event that a shipment is stopped, held or disposed of. Akamuti has no control over these charges, please contact your local customs office for more information.

  14. Suitability for purpose

    We do not accept responsibility for the misuse of Akamuti products. It is the responsibility of the customer to use Akamuti products with discretion. Akamuti does not accept responsibility for misuse of products where the goods are used in any way that contravenes recommendations. We do not accept responsibility for damage or defect of Akamuti goods arising from incorrect storage or use by the customer. We accept no liability for loss or consequential damage arising from the goods supplied. All Akamuti products have passed through rigorous quality control procedures before dispatch to the customer. Akamuti cannot be held responsible for deterioration of the products due to the customer’s incorrect storage conditions ie, exposure to direct sunlight etc. The customer should ensure that Akamuti products are kept in hygienic conditions, to minimise the risk of deterioration in the product resulting from external contamination.

  15. Disclaimer

    Information provided by Akamuti to our customers is for information purposes only and is not intended to diagnose, prescribe or replace professional advice. If the customer has a medical complaint, it is the customer’s responsibility to seek advice about contraindications from using any of the goods supplied by Akamuti.

    All representations relating to purpose of use are excluded to the full extent permitted by law and Akamuti accepts no liability. None of the information we provide is intended to treat any ailment and any product used to such a purpose is used with the responsibility and at the discretion of the consumer. It is the customer’s responsibility to obtain advice about contraindications from a professional. We disclaim all liability and responsibility arising from any reliance of information or products purchased from this website. While all effort is made to ensure that information provided is correct, the website may contain errors for which we accept no liability. We accept no liability for loss or damage caused by the misuse or misrepresentation of information supplied. All representations relating to purpose of use are excluded to the full extent permitted by law and we accept no liability.

    All Akamuti branding, product names and service names used on the Akamuti website are the trade marks, registered trade mark of Akamuti unless otherwise stated. You may not distribute products or offer services under or by reference to or otherwise use or reproduce any such registered trade marks, trade names or service marks without the prior written permission of Akamuti – the owner of such such registered trade marks, trade names or service marks.

    Akamuti reserves the right to:

Akamuti shall not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification or withdrawal; and/or change in the terms and conditions from time to time. Your continued use of Akamuti products or website following such changes, shall be deemed to be your acceptance of such changes. It is your responsibility to check regularly to determine whether the terms and conditions have been changed.
    If Akamuti should change these conditions, your order will be subject to the terms and conditions at the date and time of you placing your order.

    These terms and conditions are governed by and will be construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
