Organic sesame oil is a wonderful skin and haircare oil – it has been used extensively in Ayurveda for thousands of years. It is outstanding for keeping your skin soft, strong and supple. High in antioxidants, sesame oil helps to revitalise the skin and neutralise free radicals, making it a good choice for ageing skin. It is also excellent for problem skin types, as sesame oil achieves moisturising without clogging the pores or exacerbating breakouts. It is one of the few oils that will help reduce breakouts and it’s natural anti-bacterial properties make it useful for treating spots and pimples. Sesame oil is a protecting oil and it is ideal for applying to weathered, exposed or wind chapped skin. Try moisturising a couple of hours before going swimming to counteract the drying impact of chlorinated water. Organic sesame oil is also excellent for the hair – it nourishes and feeds the scalp while also helping to control dry scalp and dandruff. It’s protecting properties make it useful for damaged hair and sun exposed hair, helping to restore health and vitality.
Haircare: Keep dry and frizzy hair at bay by moisturising with organic sesame oil. Apply a small amount of oil to the hair and scalp. Leave the oil in for up to thirty minutes before using a shampoo to wash out. Regular oil treatments will reduce the risk of split ends.
Everyday conditioning: Warm two or three drops of sesame oil in your hands and apply to clean, dry hair for moisture and shine – oils will keep your hair strong, protected and healthy.
Storage: Store your organic sesame oil in a cool, dry place. If stored out of direct sunlight, sesame oil will last for up to two years.
