Rosewater is one of the loveliest flower waters that you can use on your skin. It is just so refreshing and comforting and one of my desert island essentials! Rosewater is naturally gently toning and nourishing, leaving your skin feeling soft and refreshed, often without the need to add any other products. Rosewater is particularly kind to irritated or inflamed skin and we often recommend it for conditions where there is redness such as rosacea flare ups and eczema. As a stand alone product, it’s ability to calm and care for the skin is unrivalled. It helps to protect the skin and can successfully manage the skin’s pH balance.
Did I mention that it’s light, rosy aroma is absolutely wonderful too, a scent provided in full by mother nature.
How organic Rosewater is made: Our organic rosewater is steam distilled from fresh rose petals. The steam that passes through the rose petals, releases tiny aromatic particles and volatile oils from the flowers. The steam is cooled, creating a fragrant water with a film of rose oil on the surface. This oil is rose otto essential oil and the water is authentic rosewater. Organic rosewater has a naturally long shelf life due to it’s unique components and if stored out of direct sunlight will easily store well for a couple of years. True rosewater is the finest you can buy. Avoid synthetic rosewater, made with water and added preservatives, additives and artificial fragrances.
Rosewater has been used as a beauty treatment for thousands of years. Radiant rose, symbolising everything wonderful about love, beauty and the heart.
“Have been using this rosewater for years and it is truly fabulous. It is brilliant for sunburn and aching muscles as well as just being a real pick you up tonic for your skin. I find it instantly relaxing. It has a lovely smell. Just superb!”
My favourite 8 ways to use rosewater ♥
- 1. Cleansing – Apply organic rosewater to a cotton wool ball and wipe over the facial area to cleanse the face before moisturising
- 2. Facecare – Spritz liberally on to the face before moisturising. Allow to almost dry on the skin, then add moisturiser (optional step).
- 3. Eyecare – Soak two cotton wool pads in organic rosewater and lay over the eyes for 15 minutes. A cooling, relaxing eye treatment.
- 4. Problem skincare – For breakouts and rosacea, apply organic rosewater to the effected areas twice a day.
- 5. Haircare – Spritz your hair with organic rosewater after washing. Don’t rinse it out, just leave it in to dry, it will tone and nourish the hair.
- 6. Allergies and Hayfever – Refrigerate your rosewater. Spritz over the face and wipe over the eyes to relieve itchiness and irritation.
- 7. Spa Day – Blend a little green clay and rosewater together to create a simple but powerful healing face mask.
- 8. After sun – One of the nicest ways to take the heat out of sunkissed skin, is with rosewater. Simply spritz over the affected areas to promote cooling and repair.
“I love the scent of roses, and this is one of my favourite products – a 100% natural and organic steam-distilled rose water. It’s created by passing steam through fresh rose petals, which releases tiny aromatic particles and volatile oils. The steam cools to create a fragrant and authentic rose water. Renowned for its ability to calm and care for the skin, rose water has been used as a beauty treatment for thousands of years. It’s refreshing and conditioning, making it perfect as a facial toner after cleansing. A spritz now and then during the day is a wonderful pick-me-up, immediately lifting my mood! You can apply it to cotton pads for a cooling, relaxing eye treatment, and it can also be used instead of oil to nourish the hair. A beautiful, simple product I don’t like to be without”
