Shea Butter

Let your skin drink in this luxuriously creamy, fair trade and organic African Shea Butter.
Our beautiful African shea butter comes from Ghana in West Africa and is produced by womens co-operatives. The natural shea butter is an incredible skin food and is packed with nutrients and is a superb all-over body moisturiser. It is richly moisturising to dry skin, problem skin and skin exposed to the elements. Pure enough for baby, it is great for delicate, sensitive skin. Reputed to help aging skin it will feed, soften and rehydrate for truly impressive results.

Unrefined, unbleached & totally unadulterated, this wildcrafted, organic & fairly traded shea butter is produced by African womens co-operatives from Ghana, West Africa using harvesting & crafting techniques that have been used for thousands of years. Free from any chemical processing, this shea butter retains all its natural goodness, creamy colouring & natural nutty aroma. It is a far cry from refined hard, white butter which is literally processed to death!

Fairly traded with producers in Ghana, this organic shea butter is an important resource for local communities. The producers harvest shea nuts from wild Karite trees. Over 94% of the producers are women who have an extensive knowledge of the butter & its production. Regardless of their indigenous knowledge, women are excluded from mainstream EMPLOYMENT because they do not have a formal education. African butter provides a valuable & sustainable source of income to these people & ensures better amenities for their communities.
